Who are avalanche courses suitable for?

No prior experience is essential. However, a basic awareness of hazards and risks is recommended.
Requirements for participation
- Minimum age: 16 years (accompanied by a parent or guardian) or 18 years
- Good basic physical fitness
- Ability to move in open terrain and deep snow
- For ski touring courses: sound skiing technique in open terrain
The necessary techniques can also be learnt as part of a private guiding session, if desired.
