The ski school is located right in the centre of Kühtai. Take a look at our handy map >>>
You’ll find us on the main street, on the first floor of the Centre of Excellence for Skiing and Mountain Sports. Nearby you’ll find the church, the tourist office, the Startbahn, the main lift ticket office, etc. ... Guests staying at Hotel myAVA or Hotel VAYA can walk down to the ski school from above – it’s just 100 metres away.
In the same building, you’ll find our partner Sport Seppl, which offers ski hire and storage, a climbing wall and a café serving delicacies. This is also our main meeting point.

The start and end points are both at the ski school’s meeting point. If you have different meeting points, we’ll let you know at our ski school reception, or you’ll receive information directly from your ski instructor.
Your meeting point on the first day of skiing:
- Bambini (3-year-olds)
- Kühti’s Miniclub
- Miniclub for 4-year-olds
- Sunday morning at 10.30 at Kühti’s Miniclub
- Sunday afternoon until the end of the ski course at the meeting point by the Miniclub flag
- Beginner children aged 5 to 6
- at the meeting point by the orange flag
- Beginner children aged 7 and over, and 6-year-olds with some previous experience
- At the new area ‘Die erste Spur’
- Advanced children from green to blue, red, black and New Generation
- at the meeting point by the relevant flag colour
- Snowboarders of all ability levels
- at the meeting point for snowboarders
- Adult skiers
- at the meeting point for adults
- Private lessons, cross-country skiing, snowshoe walks, telemark courses, ski touring courses, …
- At the office and at the meeting point by the entrance to the ski school
Further meeting points and the next day’s meeting times will be announced by our ski instructors. This is because lessons are always tailored to individual needs.

Lessons are organised according to skiing ability. Beginner children, depending on their age, start either at the ‘Die erste Spur’ meeting point in Kühti’s Miniclub or at Kühti’s Kinderranch.
Children on the green run start and finish at the start area. Children on blue, red and black runs usually start on the Dreiseenpiste, right next to the Hotel VAYA or the Hotel Edelweiss Kühtai. This is also where they return.
Adults are taught on blue, red or black runs, depending on their progress.
Snowboarders in the advanced group also have the option of booking lessons at the Funkpark.
Freeride and off-piste programmes are planned away from the slopes.
Yes, of course the children also have the option of changing groups. This is important, as stress and nervousness often affect their riding ability when they’re riding in front of others.
Our instructors are trained to deal with this. The relevant colour coordinator helps our instructors with group allocation throughout the week.
We would also ask for your patience in this regard. Fine-tuning of group allocations also takes place immediately after the initial assessment on the slope. The instructors always consult with one another!
Parents often disrupt the grouping process through misjudgements or by directly interfering! Please trust our instructors to make the right decisions regarding group allocation.
We aim for a group size of 8 or 9 people.
However, this cannot be guaranteed!
During peak season, some groups may have up to 12 people. However, this is not the norm. Most groups have fewer than 8 people; in the afternoons in particular, the advanced groups tend to be smaller.
As it is not possible to plan the exact group sizes in advance due to the varying levels of skiing ability, our instructors will adjust the group sizes themselves from Sunday afternoon and on Monday.
By Monday afternoon, all groups are usually finalised for the rest of the week.
German is our national language. In Tyrol, we also speak a dialect ;)
If you don’t speak German, please ask for assistance at our reception.
We do not offer separate group lessons for different languages. However, we try to manage this by organising our holiday periods in good time to accommodate guests who speak other languages.
The ski school’s approach works very well with different languages. Our instructors also strive to keep their skills up to date in this regard.
NO in the following groups:
- Bambini (3 years) and Miniclub (4 years)
- Children’s Beginners: Orange Levels 1 and 2 and 7+
From the middle of the week in the following groups
- Children’s Advanced (Green) (learning objective for older children)
- For small groups of young children in the Green group, the instructors may still decide against it
YES in the following groups
- Children’s Advanced groups in the colours: Blue, Red, Black and New Generation, and adult groups
If, for any reason, you miss your start time, please contact our reception or our office!
We’ll do everything we can to see if we can still fit you into the group.
If this is no longer possible or cannot be arranged, you can continue at the next available start time.
For example: if you arrive late in the morning, you can join in the afternoon.
No refund if you arrive late! The teacher is there and has everything organised for you.
YES. However, we do require a doctor’s certificate for this!!
If it is not possible to reschedule, you will be refunded the difference upon presentation of the medical certificate. This is calculated based on days that have started, days used and days not used. The calculation is based on our current price list.
Developments in recent years have brought about this change. As more and more guests prefer to improve their technique in private lessons, there are usually too few participants in the group lessons.
(Grouping participants according to their skiing ability was therefore no longer viable from a financial perspective for our ski school).
However, as we did not want to abandon this segment of the market entirely, we have developed a new and more suitable product for our ski school.
Our experience over the last two seasons has confirmed this approach and resulted in many satisfied customers.
Now you can even benefit from the small groups and our flexibility! Groups start from as few as 3 people!!

Ski lessons for children under 3 years of age are not effective, as the children are still very attached to their parents. From a purely physical point of view, too, the children are still too small for the ski equipment and the physical strain involved in the snow.
We recommend our partner, Sport 2000 Seppl, in Gries and Kühtai.
Yes, we have an external professional photographer on hand.
Markus has been taking photos with the instructor and the group during the week for over 20 years. There’s always one individual photo and one group photo.
At the end of the week, if you’re taking part, a cool race photo will be taken.

The ski school’s conveyor belts and ski lifts are free of charge for our customers and children!
For children’s beginner lessons, the relevant group instructor or coordinator will let you know whether a lift pass is required. This is usually required from the KühTeppich lift operated by Bergbahnen Kühtai onwards.
For adult beginners and those returning to the sport, please only purchase your ticket after consulting with the instructor. The ticket office is usually nearby. Please do not buy your ticket until then!
A lift pass is absolutely essential for advanced lessons for both children and adults.
- For children, this applies from the green level onwards. (You must actually have reached this level of ability – please take note of the information and grouping at the ticket counter)
- Beginner children aged 7 and over, and 6-year-olds with experience, also require a lift pass if they are starting at the ‘Die erste Spur’ meeting point.
Beginner snowboarders will be informed by their snowboard instructor.
For advanced snowboarders, a lift pass is required right from the start.
We’d be happy to provide you with further information directly at our ski school reception!
Under no circumstances will the ski school reimburse the cost of lift passes purchased incorrectly. We make every effort to provide clear information from the outset. Lift passes are the sole responsibility of the mountain railways and are not included in the ski course.
The Follow me Ski School runs a children’s ‘Mini Club’ and a ‘Children’s Ranch’ in Kühtai, where use of the two conveyor lifts and the children’s carousel is included in the price.

Children up to the age of 14 receive a helmet as part of their equipment hire.

The ski school and alpine school require seamless communication between customers, the team of instructors and the office. In the event of an accident, a seamless rescue chain is absolutely essential!
Telephone numbers should always be up to date and useful.
This is also necessary for drawing up an accident report or when communicating with emergency services, the police or a doctor. For this, we also need your address and email address. Anything else would be irresponsible!
It is essential that parents can be contacted, particularly in the case of children!
Data protection! We secure and protect your data and only pass it on to third parties in the event of an accident or at your personal request.

If the courses are fully booked or full, it is no longer possible to join. You can ask to be put on our waiting list.
Furthermore, after a certain point, it is no longer possible to join, as this would disrupt the existing groups in terms of the course structure and learning objectives.

During the peak season and at busy times, groups fill up very quickly. As we only employ a limited number of staff and ski instructors, we cannot guarantee a place on a course at all times.
If you book early enough, we can organise and plan things better for you.
If you book your course or private instructor – or even pay for it in our online shop – your place is reserved and you can travel here with peace of mind. It saves you plenty of time, money and stress ;)

We can only allocate courses and private lessons depending on staff availability. Places in groups or for private lessons are organised and scheduled. Downtime is rare or non-existent, as our staff need to be allocated efficiently.
I’m sure you’re familiar with this from your own business or job.
We have a core team and a team to cover fluctuating demand. This means we have to plan and organise well in advance. We factor in reserves, but we don’t have a crystal ball.
At short notice, it’s only possible with a great deal of luck.
Advance bookings are also given priority when it comes to upcoming renewals.
