We live and work in a mountaineering village, set in a fragile Alpine landscape. Here, the changes to the mountains and glaciers are particularly evident. That is precisely why we don’t just want to talk about it, but actually do something about it – together with you.
- From autumn 2026, we’ll be happy to keep you informed via email and our newsletter about our plans, the lecture series at the Bergraum, the forest initiative and all our activities on the theme of ‘Responsibility and Sustainability’.
Raising Awareness of Climate and Nature
At the Bergraum in Gries, we’re organising a seriesof talks on climate awareness and the changes taking place in the mountains and the Alpine natural landscape.
- We invite you to come along, listen, ask questions and join in the discussion. This is how awareness grows – in you, in us, and in everyone who visits here.
Forest & Tree Planting
Let’s turn words into trees. Through our forest project, we want to plant trees – together with children, families, guests and teams.
- Your contribution – and ours – could be, for example, that you voluntarily forgo your discount, and we’ll use that amount to buy little saplings. In this way, our range of products and your purchase will help create a new patch of woodland.
- Buy a Kühti promotional item and we’ll donate a portion of the proceeds to our “Responsible & Sustainable” project.
Mindful enjoyment
Climate protection starts on your plate. We focus on less meat, more vegetarian dishes and regional produce from our local farmers.
- By choosing these options, you’re supporting short supply chains, fair farming and greater appreciation for our region
Travelling gently in the mountains
We want you to experience the mountains fully, but gently. Among other things, this means:
- travelling by public transport or e-mobility wherever possible
- using lifts, railways and alpine infrastructure thoughtfully
- seeing nature not just as a backdrop, but as a living space in which we are guests
Rethinking
plastic, energy & consumption We’re working to reduce plastic, use energy more consciously and prioritise durable, fair products.
- If you do your bit – for example, by bringing your own water bottle, using heating mindfully and reducing packaging waste – lots of small steps will add up to a noticeable change.
- Come along to our talks in the Bergraum.
- Join in with our planting initiative
- Make a conscious choice: opt for local food, sustainable travel, less waste and fewer consumer goods.
- If you’d like, forgo a small perk – such as a discount – and turn it into a new tree.
